En visite d'étude et de rencontre, Isabelle Lestrohan, Nelly Léchard, Soazig Carrère et Noëlle Gauchet
À l'école bilingue de Saint-Gilles, des enseignants vont s'envoler pour Chypre. Un déplacement d'une semaine qui s'inscrit dans le contexte du projet européen Comenius.
Sur place, Noëlle Gauchet, coordinatrice pour les six établissements, rencontrera les partenaires des écoles impliquées, soit la scoala Gimnaziala n°49, à Bucarest (Roumanie), le CEIP El Picacho, de Cadix (Espagne), la Miejski Zespol szkol, de Swieradow-Zdroj (Pologne), le Falkenhausenschule, à Kehl (Allemagne), Gardasel, à Akranes (Islande) et l'école chypriote Dimotoko scholeio Lemesou, à Limassol.

« Avec les délégués des autres écoles, le point sera fait sur le travail déjà mené dans les écoles et l'on va dresser le plan de travail pour le trimestre à venir », explique Noëlle Gauchet.

All the schools have voted , and the logo of our project is the flower from Poland !

This pretty flower will stay now in the header of the blog.

Vote: Romania: 3, Poland: 4

The 2nd place is for the european tree from Romania .

(IS) A Red Christmas day in Gardasel

  On Friday the 13th of December we had a Red Chrismast Day in Gardasel. Everybody dressed in something red and we had our " Little - Chrismas" in the school. Five  Sankta Clauses visitedus and we had a wonderful time together.

  Dancing around the Christmas tree, singing our Christmas carols and as you can see on the pictures erverybody was happy that day, both children and adults.

  The oldest kids had prepared a show , Holy Night , which tells us about the birth of Jesus and they were just adorable. To see more pictures from this day you can visit the Gardasel website

The children in Gardasel has voted again and the logo from Polland is still number one.

(IS) The children votes for the best logo

In Gardasel the children has voted for the best logo and the result was that logo from Polland was number one. All the logos was good and difficult to chose one out of seven.

(FR) "Far Breton" : video

Far breton

The pupils of CP/CE1 (1st and 2nd year of primary school) cooked the "far breton" . ... And they did not forget to enjoy it!

(PL) Crispy Christmas cookies

Ingredients:

  • Flour-600 gr
  • Butter-200 gr
  • Icing sugar- 300gr
  • Baking powder- 1 tea spoon
  • Sour cream- 4 spoons
  • Yolks- 2
  • Some sugar

Preparation

  1. Chop butter with flour.
  2. Add yolks.
  3. Add icing sugar.
  4. Add baking powder.
  5. Add 4 spoons of sour cream.
  6. Knead dough.
  7. Put the dough into the fridge for at least one hour.
  8. Roll the dough and cut out different shapes.
  9. Spread some white on the cookies.
  10. Sprinkle cookies with sugar (not icing one).
  11. Bake the cookies for about 15 minutes at 160 Celsius.

Enjoy the cookies with milk !

(CY) recipe for Cyprus



Ηalloumi cheese pie
Ø  Ingredients:
·        ¾ cup sunflower oil
·        3 cups flour 
·        2 cups grated halloumi* cheese
·        1 cup milk
·        6 eggs
·        3 teaspoons baking powder
·        Mint

Ø  Directions – Method
1.  Grease and flour a 10 inch tube pan.
2.    Sift flour in a bowl and set aside.
3.  In a large mixing bowl, bump in the mixer the sunflower oil with the eggs (one at a time).
4.  Add the milk, the flour and the baking powder.
5.  Then, stir / blend in the grated halloumi cheese and the mint.
6.  Put the mixture in the tube pan.
7.  Bake at 180°C.
8.  Allow cake to cool for about 30-40 minutes and then invert it onto a serving plate.
*halloumi is a traditional cheese of Cyprus. If you can’t find it in a supermarket, you can use a soft salty cheese.



(IS) A recipe from Iceland

Hjónabands-sæla
“Wedded bliss” in a baking tray

This cake is baked in almost every household in Iceland, both in towns and on the country side.
Bon Appetit!!! :)
3 cups oatmeal
3 cups coconut flour
3 cups wheat (flour)
3 cups sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
250-300 g melted margarine
3 eggs
All the ingredients are mixed together. The 3/5 of the dough is put in the bottom of an baking tray.
Cover the dough evenly with rhubarb jam or blueberry jam and spread the rest of the dough on top
of the jam.
Bake at 180°C until the top has started being golden brown.
